- The vendor that provides your services should have a solid record when it comes to information access and management.
- Understand the retention policy of the vendor and make sure it maps to your own policies.
- Nervous about litigation, on your end or the vendors, find out who “owns” your information, and whether or not the vendor will guarentee to notify you before releasing data.
- What is the disaster recovery or back-up plan, is your information guarenteed to be restored if something terrible happens?
